A Spirituality for Realists
James K. A. Smith speaks to us about the lessons we can learn from St. Augustine. Christianity is not a “solution,” and conversion not an “arrival,” but only the beginning to a journey. On this journey, the road is often hard. There are burdens, and our faith at times only intensifies the struggle. At the same time, we find that this burden can make things light, a yoke that liberates as we give ourselves away to the One who gave himself for us.
