PALM SUNDAY IN MOZAMBIQUE

PHOTO GALLERY

Christians around the world are united by our shared time and habits as much as, or perhaps even more than, shared beliefs. We glimpse the power of shared rhythms in this beautiful photo series from All Angels’ parishioner Rebecca Vander Meulen. She captures worshipers in Lichinga, Mozambique gathering on Palm Sunday for public procession, palm fronds in hand. We see young and old, female and male, formal and casual, holy and profane (I notice the armed guard in Dangerous Hosannas!) all present together in a powerful scene that really isn’t far removed from our own Palm Sunday celebrations here in New York City. – Seth Little
