CHELSEA HORVATH, DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY MINISTRIES
or (212) 362-9300 ext. 225
Chelsea oversees the programs and initiatives of the church that foster the compassionate care, life transformation, and spiritual formation of individuals who struggle with homelessness, addiction, and mental health challenges. She recently received her Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Hunter College, with a focus on Organizational Management and Leadership. Prior to her work at All Angels’, Chelsea worked in Shanghai, China with a faith-based organization dedicated to the city’s arts and culture sector, its impact on local communities, and the discipleship of artists. Chelsea moved back to the U.S. in 2013 to attend the Trinity Forum Academy as a residential fellow, where she developed a thesis on the studio as liturgical practice. Chelsea has a B.S. in Art Education from a joint program at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Institute of Art. Her artistic practice continues to inform the way she leads a complex (and often times messy) ministry that makes visible the glory of the invisible God.
