CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES
In the Gospel of Matthew (19:14), Jesus said, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children" (NLT). The Children’s Ministries at All Angels’ Church attempt to live into Jesus’ proclamation. Our aim is for each child to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we desire to work with families in bringing their children up in faith. We consider this partnership an incredible privilege, and we hope that we can join in the process of building a strong spiritual foundation with your child.
Our Children’s Ministries are divided up into three main areas: Nursery, Children’s Worship and Sunday School. Within these areas many volunteers minister along side these children. For more information about volunteering, keep reading, and feel free to contact Chris Esposito-Bernard, Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministries, at (212) 362-9300 ext 229 or cespositobernard@allangelschurch.com
Nursery care is offered for children 6 months to 3 years of age. Trained nursery workers, as well as our wonderful team of volunteers, care for the children in the nursery. They are available Sunday mornings from 9:45AM to 1PM.
Children’s Worship is offered during the 10:00am service. Children ages 4 to students in the Fourth Grade attend the first part of the main worship service with their families and then are invited before the sermon to participate in a worshipful experience e geared for them. Once upstairs, the children begin their time together in prayer and then are presented with a biblical story through Godly Play, a Montessori based curriculum that invites children to enter the story through art, liturgical imagery, and storytelling. After their worship, they return before communion to participate in the rest of the liturgy.
Sunday School takes place after the 10:00 service each Sunday morning during the school year. Classes are divided by age and primarily focus on memorizing Holy Scripture though sharing Bible stories, offering age appropriate activities and crafts, and reflecting on what it means to be the beloved children of God.
YOUTH MINISTRY
Growing up is hard. Growing up as a Christian in New York City is even harder. This is why the intent of the Youth Ministry is to bring adolescents into the larger community of faith and prepared them for entering into leadership in the Church. Our Youth Ministry exists to help youth experience the grace and love of God through fellowship, community service, and a level of biblical and theological formation. The Youth Group at All Angels’ meets after the 10 o’clock service and provides an opportunity for students (grades 6- 12) to meet and worship together on a regular basis, to talk about faith, and to grow in their identity as God’s people.
The youth group also meets regularly for social activities. Plans are in the works for our yearly programs, which include events such as a winter retreat, movie nights, serving meals to the homeless, Night Watch (at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine), and short term mission projects.
If you are interested in finding out more about the Youth Ministry at All Angels’, volunteering, or know someone who may benefit from this ministry please contact Chris Esposito-Bernard at (212) 362-9300 ext 229 or cespositobernard@allangelschurch.com

Mother's Groups
For over 18 years mothers’ groups have been meeting at All Angels’. The group meetings include time for fellowship, prayer, Bible study, and book or other topical studies for the mothers. Nursery care is provided for children under three, and older children are offered a variety of classes and activities that take place while the moms meet.
Three groups are currently meeting, a mother's group on Mondays, a homeschool co-op on Wednesdays and a preschool co-op on Fridays. Mothers from at least eight different churches attend, and includes everyone from mothers-to-be to those with high schoolers. The more the merrier!
